OSFI (Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions) is Canada’s federal regulator and supervisor of all federally-regulated financial institutions (FRFIs) — banks, foreign bank branches, federally-regulated trust and loan companies, federally-regulated life insurance and property/casualty insurance companies, and federally-regulated pension plans. Reports to Parliament through the Minister of Finance.
